For additional information on any of the following sacraments, please call the Parish Rectory at 514-695-0205 during regular business hours.
Baptism
Infant Baptisms* are available to people who live within the parish boundaries or who are registered parishioners. For those living outside our parish boundaries, permission from your parish priest will be needed. Baptisms are generally celebrated at 12:30 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month.
Godparents must be baptised Catholic or Orthodox (at least 1 must be Catholic), be at least 16 years of age, as well as be living a life in harmony with the faith. Protestants are not admitted as official godparents, but they may act as official witnesses at the baptismal celebration and sign the baptismal register. One or two godparents are allowed and if there are two, they must be of the opposite sex.
Canon law requires that the parents and godparents be properly prepared to assume their role in the baptism of the children. Baptism preparation meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month.
Required documents:
Copy of baby’s birth certificate
Copy of godparents confirmation certificate
Permission letter to baptize outside parish boundaries (if applicable)
Please send your register request to the Parish email sjfpsecretary@videotron.ca.
In addition, make sure to include the following information:
Name, birthdate, and birthplace of baby.
Names, address, and phone number(s) of parents

Adult Baptism, Communion and Confirmation
The Rite of the Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a guided conversion process by which non-baptized adults (catechumens) and baptized Christians (candidates) aged 19 and over are fully initiated into the Catholic Church. RCIA is an opportunity for people to learn about the doctrine of the Catholic faith and enter into full communion with the Catholic Church. A team of lay church members and clergy conducts the RCIA process over a seven-month period, which begins every year in September and continues through Easter.

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended you and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell. But most of all because I have offended you, my God, who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve with the help of your grace, to confess my sins, to do penance and to amend my life. Amen.
