St. John Paul II wrote: “The Church has received the Eucharist from Christ her Lord not as one gift — however precious — among so many others, but as the gift par excellence, for it is the gift of himself, of his person in his sacred humanity, as well as the gift of his saving work.” ( Ecclesia de Eucharistia, April 17, 2003)
What a gift to us! What can we give Him in return? Advent is a time when we prepare for the gift of the Lord’s coming; we put up lights outside, decorate our trees and houses, we buy gifts for our loved ones and friends to put under the Christmas tree. These are beautiful undertakings.
But what if we were to give of ourselves, to Him, just one hour a week of our time, to be with Him, talk to Him face to face in the Chapel of Adoration where He is always waiting for us. This is the gift He left for us, Himself, His true presence in the Blessed Sacrament.
The chapel has many open hours to choose from and to fit with your busy schedules. You may view the open hours on the board outside the Chapel and call Joanna at 514-791-8291.
