Facilitated by Fr. Sylvester Tan, S.J.
Thursday, September 26, from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Villa Saint-Martin (9451 Gouin Blvd. West, Pierrefonds, H8Y 1T2)
Ignatius of Loyola believed that person’s conversations could be a privileged way of following Jesus and of letting the Lord’s healing grace enter into our lives. We will consider how even brief conversations that one finds in the Bible can help us to better understand the spiritual dynamics behind our own daily interactions with others. Through one of Ignatius’ most central but overlooked intuitions, we will discover how God wishes to work miracles in our lives and the lives of others through what can seem the most mundane of encounters.
Fr. Sylvester Tan, S.J. is the director of programs at the Villa Saint-Martin. He is known as a guide for individual and group retreats and missions and spent several years teaching and working in campus ministry at Loyola University (New Orleans) and in parishes in the U.S. and Canada.
The event is
free; registration is recommended but not required. Donations are encouraged, and tax receipts are available for donations exceeding $25. Those who wish may join Fr. Tan and other participants for dinner and fellowship in the cafeteria at 5:30 p.m., before the soirée begins. The price of the dinner is $20, and reservations
for the dinner are required in advance and can be made by calling (514) 684-2311 ext. 0 or e-mailing
