PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Naskamoonan means We are grateful in Cree language. It is a social and cultural project with university students and Cree high school girls in the reserve of Moose Factory (Northen Ontario).
Discovering each other cultures and riches; helping together to landscape an area of the reserve; helping together the elderly and needy of the reserve (visits, clean up and painting projects); canoe rides and nature walks with an elder, workshops to inspire local high schoolers to pursue their educations and getting inspired by them.

Please attach with your application the following
Describe on 250 words the academic workshop you will present to secondary school Cree girls in the reserve of Moose factory (motivation to study, your future profession, a leadership skill, etc)
Describe on 250 words the practical workshop you will organize with the high school girls (culture, craft, a skill, etc).
Project payment and donations:
300$ includes all the expenses of the project except the trip to and from Moose Factory. Cheque payable to University Trips or e-transfer to : [email protected].
If you receive donations for this project and you need a tax receipt, please make your cheque payable to Fonteneige University Center and mail it to 5615 Avenue Woodbury, Montréal, QC H3T 1S6.
