As Montreal entered into the red tier of Quebec's colour-coded regional COVID alert system this month, public health authorities announced tightened restrictions across the city effective Oct. 1 to Oct. 28, 2020.
Though many local churches have been welcoming parishioners and visitors for indoor Mass as early as last July, having spent a good part of the summer preparing to implement the required health-and-safety measures before opening their doors, some can no longer accept walk-ins, and others have closed temporarily since the latest orders were announced.
Before attending Mass, please contact your parish directly for details on Mass schedule changes, advanced registration required, Masses offered online, etc.
Below is a listing of churches that have since reopened, including their Mass schedules PRIOR to the Sept. 20 health order, unless otherwise indicated. Before planning to attend Mass, you may consult their website or check with the parish regularly AS SAFETY PROTOCOLS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
