The national office of Aid to the Church in Need Canada (ACN) announced that it will be observing Red Wednesday for the third consecutive year, on November 18. This day serves as a reminder that Christians today, are still suffering persecution and religious discrimination in different regions worldwide. Parishes, dioceses, religious communities and other organizations are invited to take part by illuminating their buildings with red lights on the evening of Nov. 18. Despite the pandemic, an event, open to all, is being organized and will be offered online. Archbishop Ignatius Kaigama of Abuja, Nigeria, Sister Micheline Lattouf of Lebanon, the archbishops of Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver and many others will gather for two broadcasts at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET, to listen, reflect and pray.
